Photo gallery tours of Arizona hiking trails in the Prescott National Forest, Tonto National Forest and surrounding central and northern Arizona outdoor adventure areas of Yavapai Country and Gila County which includes the towns of Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Payson, Pine, Strawberry, Christopher Creek.
Currently I have taken more than 35,000 scenic photos on over 100 area trails for your review enjoyment.
Along with the continuous photo record of the trail I also provide you with important trail facts, surface mix, trail type, hiking and safety tips.

2) Select the trail you would like to review by clicking on it's link.
3) The new trail photo galleries are set to auto load the next photo yet you also have arrows to stop, start, go backward and forward too!

The region I live and work in is one of the natural wonders of the world. The Central, Northern and Mogollon Rim areas of Arizona are known for their exotic and beautiful high desert landscapes and natural resources.
We also enjoy one of the worlds largest standing Ponderosa Pine Forests and the area is loaded with great opportunities for hiking, sight seeing, tours, recreation, national, state and city parks, day trips, camping, boating, fishing, horse back riding, atv, biking, outdoor acitivities of all kinds and much much more.

Whats New!
New larger photo gallery size
I'm working my way through the current posted trails, finding the original photos and upgrading each photo gallery to a new larger one with automated stop, forward and backward controls.
New Map Format
Upgraded to newer Google maps format that gives you the ability to focus in or out for better overall driving directions, and even has a satellite view option. Please be aware that the map lat / long co-ordinates are approximate.
When I started into scenic hiking and then building this site GPS was still exotic and not even in my consciousness as a trailhead locator tool so I never pruchased or packed one along. If you use them and hike these trails and want to send me the Trail Head latitude / longitude I will be very happy to review them and reset the map for that trail!
New menu linking format
I've ran out of room on the left column to fit all the trails so I am condensing that area with a link to the Regional Trail System which will contain a listing of all the links to that regions trails:
• Prescott National Forest Arizona Hiking Trails
• Yavapai County Trails
• City of Prescott Trails
• City of Prescott Valley Trails
• Tonto National Forest Trails
New php linking and page name format
As I work my way through the photo gallery upgrades I am converting the page code to php to give some room for future expansion and Web 2.0 features, However, this will create a need to correct any back links you may have on your website(s) to the new page name and location on this site. I am running 301 forwards for a few months so all present linking will get rolled over to the new pages but in time those will be removed, so I appreciate your effort to correct any back links you may have to the old page(s) to the correct new one(s). Thanks!
