My Trail Review:

This trail is used as a connecting trail between Yeager Canyon Trail TR 28 and Little Yeager Trail TR 533, creating a round-trip loop back to the trailhead on Highway 89A. The trail follows a north-south direction in ponderosa pine in the drainage area of Little Yeager Canyon.

After climbing up TR 28 and cresting on top of the mountain we walked a short distance through some scrub and Pine trees and found TR 111 interconnection well marked.

This turned out to be a pleasant rather flat and shaded short connector trail that gradually descended to the south, then after clearing the canyon there was about a 120' upwards climb to the fence line where the trail ends at FR 105.

It was quiet in the Pines today. Stopped about half way through this connector and ate a light lunch and watered down. We did see a couple squirrels who took an interest in us and one other hiker going in the opposite direction. Coming from the TR 28 side of the loop we found a gate where the trail ended where we took FR 413 to the right and down a short ways where we discovered the trail entrance for TR 533 was not so well marked or identifiable (see note on that trail).

Loved this 3 trail looper that I hiked in this order ...

MAP AND DIRECTION TIPS
Coming from the Prescott area the west trail head for TR 28 and TR 533 that TR 111 is used to connect to is located off Highway 89A at a point about 1.5 miles east of the twin power transmission lines crossing the highway just inside the western Prescott National Forest boundary. Keep an eye on the right side of the road and you will see a small pull off parallel parking area alongside the road. When you look back into the wash area behind this pull off you will see a sign, entrance gate and small cattle crossing bridge marking the trail heads.
