My Trail Review:

January 2007
It was a cool but not cold gray sky winter day. Quiet trail hike, not many people or critters. I took the Water Tower Trail TR 315 out of the north side of the fee parking area. I found a spur trail along side of the host ranger housing that took me back to the main TR 315 trail.

There are some good views of the San Francisco Peaks and the Thumb Butte area along the hike. I took the trailhead spur section out to the street entrance just to see what that was like. No designated parking along street but the entrance is real "fancy".

I asked around and found out that as these areas built up around the forest service the builders were required to allow trail access and that is why many of these trails that run along side of current residential areas will have connecting spur trailheads coming into them from those residential areas.

I ended the trail where it connects with TR 316 and came back that way.

A good city type day hike trail.

Enjoy the Hike!
