I put this one in the Hoonoo Section as it is not on any of the Forest Service maps I have seen and I just stumbled on the west end of it coming down late one afternoon from the West Webber Trail area. It took me down to the Geronimo Trail where I headed back to the Trailhead and parking area.
It is a scenic little spur trail with classic Rim County tall Ponderosa Pines, lush forest growth with lots of fallen dead wood trees everywhere. There is a homemade small foot bridge someone put in to cross over a small spring fed creek with water in it along the way too.

MAP AND DIRECTION TIPS
Take the very scenic two lane Highway 87 north out of Payson to the Control Road FS 64 which will be on your right (east) side of the road shortly after you pass the entrance to the Tonto Natural Bridge. Take this gravel road approximately 5 to 6 miles, across a small bridge and then make a sharp left at FS 440. Take FS440 about 2 miles to the Geronimo Trailhead where you will find a small pulloff area to park one or two vehicles on your right .
